Inspec is one of the most important and frequently used A&I databases that evolved from the prestigious “Science Abstract” (SA, Science Abstract), which started in 1898. The Database contains over 22 million records of research literature (over 17% OA content with DOI to access full text free). Each record is manually indexed with precise underlying index fields (e.g., Inspec Thesaurus, chemical and numerical indexes, etc.) to enable users to search precisely and efficiently. Inspec covers the areas of Physics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computing & Control, and Mechanical & Production Engineering.
