    American Spaces Indonesia Annual Workshop 2017

    American Spaces are the key overseas platforms for engaging local audiences and conducting face-to-face public diplomacy. The global network of more than 700 American Spaces includes both U.S. government-owned and operated spaces as well as partnership spaces, operated by local institutions.

    In Indonesia, there are 12 American Spaces: 9 American Corners at UNAND, UIN Jakarta, ITB, UIN Semarang, UMY, UNAIR, UMM, UNTAN, and UNPATTI; MyAmerica Jakarta, MyAmerica Surabaya and @america.

    Objectives:

    At the completion of the course, participants will be able to:

    • Develop a strategic plan for your American Space that sets out clear objectives linked to foreign policy goals and addresses how the physical space, technology, programming, desired projects and/or administration will support achievement of the objectives
    • Create and implement audience-focused digital content and in-person programming that reinforces the U.S. foreign policy goals and objectives for the Spaces
    • Design and implement a programmatic series that directly addresses top policy priorities for the Spaces
    • Explore tools, resources and methodology for effective outreach and engagement

    Dalam rangka menjalin silaturahmi antar Forum Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Tingkat Daerah dan untuk meningkatkan kerjasama antar Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi, Forum Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia Wilayah DKI Jakarta bermaksud melakukan kunjungan kerja ke UPT Perpustakaan ITB yang akan dilaksanakan pada hari Kamis, 16 November 2017. Peserta kunjungan terdiri dari pengurus dan anggota FPPTI DKI Jakarta.

    Women Empowerment Series 2017 / 2018: Spreading and Perpetuating the Spirit of Philanthropy.

    Activity: Discussion on women philanthropists in Indonesia and “Book Drop Donation Box” Launch.

    Speakers:

    • Sophie Dewayani, Ph.D.(Writer, Co-Founder of Litara Foundation, University of Illinois at Urbana-Campaign Alumnus; Fulbright Alumnus)
    • Elis Ratna Suminar (Literacy Activist – Angkot Pustaka)

    Objectives: To acknowledge Women’s voices in philanthropy.

    Topics of Discussion:
    (1) To show to public that women are influential figures in philanthropic activities
    (2) To educate public that women can participate and channel their goodwill in any activities in line with their passion
    (3) To improve public awareness about the necessity of having more women to partake in philanthropic activities .

    Target Participants: College students, literacy enthusiasts, gender activists, philanthropist, and public
